Benefits of Joining HLP
The school improvement provision seeks to ensure best value and cost effectiveness. The charges for provision have been carefully calculated to ensure that these are kept to a minimum, whilst ensuring that HLP is financially viable. Membership by a majority of schools is critical for the sustainability of HLP. The funding principles are as follows:
- Schools agree to an ongoing one year membership subscription to ensure continuity of Hillingdon Learning Partnership.
HLP is a not-for-profit limited company and so cost effectiveness and organisational efficiency are pivotal to our living our mission. We ensure schools receive high quality services providing efficient value for money. Any surpluses generated will be reinvested into further developing and widening the range of services for member schools.
Effective Governance
The work of HLP is also designed to reflect national policy and guidance changes. These include:
- The Framework for School Inspection;
- The Schools’ Causing Concern Guidance (January 2024); and,
- The White Paper, ‘Opportunity for all: strong schools with great teachers for your child’ (Mary 2022).
To ensure effective governance, we work with a highly regarded educational legal firm to secure long term sustainability and robustness of the organisation as a not-for-profit company, which is limited by guarantee. The Partnership offer reflects planned changes to our limited company structure.
Membership of HLP includes:
- Peer Review Training and Participation
Elect to be fully trained in Peer Review. Join a triad to participate, share resources and benefit from peer review at no additional charge
(£??? per day for non-members).
- Termly Briefing, Networking/CPD for Subject Leaders
For Assessment, EYFS, Computing, English, Maths, Science, Geography, History MFL, DT to be delivered face to face and via Zoom, at no additional charge.

- Termly Headteacher/Senior Leader Network Meetings
To be delivered in different host schools and themes will be determined by the group, at no additional charge.

- Working with the Teaching School Hub
We will be signposting CPD, which schools can access at no additional charge.
- SEND Termly Seminar
In liaising with our member special schools at no additional charge (£??? per participant for non-members).
- Leadership Training
For PE and STEM subject leaders
