Course Title: Secondary Religious Education Subject Leaders’ Professional Learning Network

Phase: Secondary

Target Audience: Heads of department/Subject Leaders for Religious Education

Course Details: This session, due to popular demand, will be an opportunity to share and compare schools’ own samples of pupil learning in RE, with the aim of identifying how best we can demonstrate examples of Ofsted expectations in practice. All schools are invited to bring examples and ideas, and to contribute to discussions in reviewing and shaping the future revisement of the statutory locally Agreed Syllabus for RE.

Outcomes
• Clarity of Ofsted expectations for RE
• Collaborative development of high-quality curriculum materials
• Sharing of effective resources, ideas and practice within an enthusiastic network
• Participation and discussion of relevant and up to date research in the subject
• Confidence to support non-specialist staff in the delivery of RE
